Design

Over the course of time, Isabelle de Borchgrave has become a key name in the field of design in paper, earthenware and fabric. Her designs take on many forms, including plates, jewellery and wallpaper. For four years, Isabelle has made a line of paper products reflecting the seasons and called Isabelle Party for Target. Napkins, plates, tumblers, tablecloths and chair covers: everything that makes a festive occasion passes between her nimble fingers and becomes an essential item for a Saint Valentine’s Day, a Halloween Party or a Summer Picnic. Isabelle has also designed for Caspari for 20 years. She has created a broad range of paper napkins and plates, often with luxurious matching place cards. Today, these objects are in demand all over the world.
With Gien, Isabelle has made several collections of various crockery dinner services such as "Jardin Imaginaire", "l'Oiseau Bleu" and "Ronde d'Orient".
For Wild Apple, she has made ten or so posters printed from her drawings and paintings, thus creating works of art accessible to everyone. Isabelle is also known for her remarkable colourful wallpaper and has started a whole line of wallpaper designs for Arte.

In addition to her commercial projects, Isabelle makes unique wallpaper for private individuals taking into account their current tastes and wishes. There's no doubt that, for Isabelle, paper is an inexhausible source of creation, inspiration and wonder. It is in that spirit that she also creates "moucharabiehs", which allow light to enter a room by creating shadow shapes wich give free rein to everyone's imagination and which are still waiting to be transposed, transformed or displayed on an object.
